Dachau Concentration Camp - Germany - World War II - European Tourist Guide - euro-t-guide.com
The Dachau Concentration Camp is located just north of Munich/München. Dachau was the first Nazi concentration camp opened in Germany. It opened on the 22 March 1933 - less than two months after Hitler taking over power. The camp was operational until 1945, when the American Army liberated the last prisoners of the camp. The camp is now a memorial for all of those killed during the Nazi holocaust.

This trench is the first part of the "security" measures at the Dachau Concentration Camp - just outside Munich (München). After the trenches there is a section with gravel where a number of rows of barbed wires makes it difficult to get to the fence. The fence is contains both barbed wire and electrical wire.
