The Rock of Gibraltar is covering most of Gibraltar. This limestone rock - with its historical importance and its location as the gateway into the Mediterranean sea - is a world-known icon. The rock houses at lot of the tourist attractions on Gibraltar - including the famous Gibraltar monkeys, the caves and all of the historical fortifications.
