Holland - Royal Palace of Amsterdam - 1 |
|

The Royal Palace of Amsterdam is
located in the centre of Amsterdam - at the Dam square. In 1648 the
famous architect Jacob van Campen was asked to design this
monumental building by the city of Amsterdam as their new town hall.
At present the Royal Palace is used for State Visits, the Queen’s
New Year receptions and other official functions.
When the palace is not in use by the Queen or members of the Royal House,
it is open to the public. During our visit the palace was
unfortunately not open to the public.
