France - Normandy American Cemetery - 1

The Normandy American Cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer is probably the most well-known war cemetery in the world. The cemetery contains 9,387 war graves. most of the graves are a result of the D-day landing on the 6th June 1944 - and the battles that followed D-day. The cemetery also played an important role in the book and movie "Saving Private Ryan".
