The Museum of Danish Resistance 1940 - 1945 (Frihedsmuseet) - is apart of the Danish National Museum that focus on the German occupation of Denmark during World War II (April 1940 - May 1945). The museum has a unique collection of items (guns, radios, bombs etc.) that were used by the Danish resistance during the occupation. The museum also tell the general history of life in Denmark during the occupation.

During the last part of the occupation some resistance groups made their own armoured vehicles from old trucks.This one actually saw battle on the liberation day - 5th of May 1945.

A bust in honour of Major Anders Lassen (Victory Cross) who fought with the British Special Boat Service during most of World War II.

A bust in honour of Major Anders Lassen (Victory Cross) who fought with the British Special Boat Service during most of World War II. He was killed in Italy shortly before the war ended.
