Belgium - Menen German War Cemetery - 1 |
|

The Menen German War Cemetery is located
in a bit remote area outside the town of Menen - near
the French-Belgian boarder. With 47,864 casualties of the First
World War this is the largest German war cemetery is located in the
west. Our visit to the cemetery was in the early morning, where the
gate to the cemetery was closed. This is the reason why there are no
close-up photos of the grave stones.

The Menen German War
Graves is
closed during the night - and surrounded by a
tall stone fence - so the pictures on these pages are all take from
outside the fence.
