The Vienna Central Cemetery (Wien
Zentralfriedhof) is one of the largest cemeteries in the world and
the largest by number of interred in Europe. It is also the most
famous cemetery among Vienna's nearly 50 cemeteries. At the centre
of the cemetery you will find the Dr. Karl Lueger-Gedächtniskirche
(the Memorial Church). The graves of a lot of famous people - like
the composers Ludwig van Beethoven, Brahms, Strauss and Franz
Schubert - can be found here. The cemetery also contain some very
large German and Russian World War II sections.
